Why Thermo-Shield?
Heat Insulation
In theory, there are two problems. Reducing heating costs in winter, and reducting cooling costs in the summer. If you look at these two problems carefully, you will see that the solution to the problem is the same.
In summer, if you insulate a substrate in such a way that it cannot absorb radiant heat, then heat does cannot dissipate and become a problem in the first place. With ceramic coatings, the majority of the radiant heat gets reflected, while some of it is diffused. This rejected heat never becomes a problem.
Waterproofing
Thermo-Shield® creates a monolithic coating over anything it is applied to. Whether applied to a roof, a wall, or bare metal, The waterproofing effect of Thermo-Shield® is so efficient that even pooled water does not become a problem. In fact, our ceramic coating family works wonderfully with decks, indoor swimming pool rooms, laundry rooms, high traffic areas, etc are great applications for our products.
Noise Absorption
When used in a noisy factory, garage, shop, or other indoor applications, like a family room, basement, bedroom or more, you will notice that rooms become much quieter when our ceramic coatings are applied to your walls. Thermo-Shield® Exterior and coatings also are capable of absorbing substantial amounts of noise.
Condensation Control
Condensation can lead to several very unhealthy situations in buildings. The US Federal Government has had to recognize “sick building syndrome”, but is still unsure what really causes it. If used as internal and external coverings, our ceramic coatings allow water vapor to escape and effect the full drying out of both the inside of the building, and the spaces between the inside wall membrane and the external wall membranes. Thermo-Shield® is fully waterproof and effective in condensation control situations.

Variable Permeability
We have discussed variable permeability in several places. Simply put, when it's dry on one side of a Thermo-Shield® treated surface and moist on the other, moisture CAN pass through the Ceramic Coating, however, when water touches the Ceramic Coating surface, it is swells and becomes waterproof.
